Lawn Care Equipment Sized To Fit All Lawn Care Needs

Theirs is more to caring for your lawn than lawn mower and using it regularly. In order to have a great looking yard, you will need some simple lawn care equipment. The type and number of devices needed will depend mostly on the size of the yard and the desired affects after each use as well as the amount of effort you are willing and able to put into using the various pieces of lawn care equipment needed for a great looking yard.

The mower is going to be the most expensive piece of lawn care equipment in your arsenal of lawn care, from a hundred dollars for an expensive manual power mower to several thousand dollars for a riding mower used for larger yards, the available lawn care equipment is designed to fit every need and every budget. You will also need some type of equipment to clean up around the edges of the yard and trimmers can be found to fin into every budget.

Electric weed eaters are available for smaller lawns where an electrical outlet is close by, but using extension cords over 100-feet long tends to allow some power loss, making this lawn care equipment less efficient. Gasoline powered weed eaters can be used on any area of the yard, even those in remote areas away from the house and available power.

Stages Of Effective Lawn Care

For most homeowners, caring for the lawn comes in three stages. Riding mowers for the larger lawns, trim mowers for getting under and around bushes and trees and weed eaters to get closer to many obstacles. However, even this lawn care equipment may not meet all the needs of some yards. Some yards may have trouble with small animals leaving tunnels under the ground and a heavy roller will be a necessary piece of lawn care equipment to flatten the yard during the early stages of lawn growth.

A dethatcher, most often resembling a rake, can be attached to riding lawn mowing equipment, and pulled around the yard to help remove dead grass and small branches from under the grass. Keeping the thatch removed helps provide air and water to the ground enabling the roots to thrive and grow for a plush, green lawn.

Aeration devices are other types of lawn care equipment that help pop small holes in the ground to provide air to the roots of the grass. Without sunshine, water and air, like most living things, the grass will not grow healthy. Using the right lawn care equipment for the right job will help spur growth and keep the yard looking healthy.
